This is the second "article" in which Ford has claimed "best in class" for the 325/570 6. 0. I am convinced it's because they are considering the ISB in the Dodge to be medium duty and the 6. 0 to be light duty. Then, technically, they have the most powerful light duty diesel... unless the LLY Duramax is stronger too?

As an aside, since the Mustang Cobra debacle from the '90s I will never trust Ford HP/torque numbers again. And it's not just Ford. Hyundai is in the midst of a class action lawsuit with owners for exagerating their power/torque figures too. I'd bet this sort of thing is a lot more prevalent than we'd like to believe.

Oh well, it all makes life interesting! :)

I saw that posting and had to laugh! " Tough Day for the Other Guys". Seems to me the(6. 0) Ford diesel truck owners have had more "Tough Days" than the rest of the automotive world combined. I really felt like pointing out that a bunch of them believed this hype a couple of years ago, instead of doing their own comparison, and look what it got them. Just goes to show, some people NEVER learn.

I Wish Dodge (or Cummins) would offer things like AIC

Ford offers an AIC (Automatic Idle Controller) for their diesels. Not sure about GM, but I wish Dodge would offer things like this for us. I had to shell out $375 to BD for a load-sensitive idle contoller that isn't as nice as the one Ford offers.

I posted this in hopes someone from Dodge might be reading. ;)

[This doesn't really belong in this thread, but I accidentally hit "reply" instead of "new". Oh well. ]

A factory installed brake controller would also be a very nice addition to Dodge heavy Duty.

Gee guys, sounds to me like Ford would be better served to work on establishing a reliable powerplant, instead of hanging a bunch of extras on it that don't amount to much when it won't run. All the neat little extras in the world don't cut it when the truck is in the shop! Just my opinion!
