Bc fast;

Do you drive a late model? If so are you going to make the Snow Ball Derby in Pensacola this year? What is your cars #

No No No, you're all wrong. Ford invented the computer, only then could our VP Al Gore invent the internet. BTW, Al Gore was one of the original Dodge brothers, so we can all tip our hats to him, for he invented the Dodge. This wasnt until after he invented the highway, well actually just the asphalt road. He got the idea from the romans. I dont think they got any royalties for that either. They are pretty PO'ed at him. He also got the idea for the wheel from a caveman he once knew, but that is another story. I digress.
Sheesh, get the story straight... ... ... ...

Your engineers come out of the same schools. Naturally they have similar ideas.
But no way Ford sold rights to a truck body they designed. Apparently some ford owner was disappointed in the bulkiness of the ford 3/4 and 1 tons(cab/nose). Now your duallies 1 tons look more in proportion.

Why wouldn't ford have Cummins sponsoring their race car. Cummins are used in fords med duty trucks and before Freightliner bought their heavy duty truck line they were used in those. (ford decided to get out of heavy duty trucks and put the division up for sale).
International probably has its own car(sorry don't keep up with the races in case they don't, but race cars are great tax right off for bigger companies. )

All of you are wrong! Al Gore first thought up the Cummins option in the Fords! His dad owned Detroit and Cat which sold out to IH now the current supplier of Diesel engs to Ford.

Where do you get this crap from??? Ask them if they have a bridge for sale.

Don

The Future? The next years should be fun to watch. Dodge is getting away from Dana's, new regs will bring more electronic controls, variable timing on valves, who knows what else. GM's gonna try again. Ford says they're gonna give us a high-mileage, hybrid diesel-electric SUV. ABS is gonna be standard whether we want it or not. My game plan: Sit out the next 5 to 10 years on the sidelines, making my 2001 Cummins last. Let others trade in perfectly good trucks to get every new option when it first comes out. I think they'll be singing the "First Year Model Blues" soon enough. Maybe in 10 years I'll look around, see what has proven itself for 3 to 5 years, and buy again before the next wave of changes to follow.

I heard that Ford had their design before Dodge also but, as has been stated earlier, the same source told me About Ford owning Cummins so I reasoned the following.
Ford actually has been working on this design for quite some time (since 1949?), and finally got it done so that it was viable a few years ago. I also figure Chrysler Corp. (NOT DC) started their planning in '92 or '93 and released in '94. I've heard quite a bit about Chrysler Corp's revamped concept to market strategy and how it has pushed other companies to play catchup. No, it would not surprise me that Ford was working on a new design for a long time, but got beaten by Dodge, but the last time Ford had a bright idea was the introduction of the Mustang. To bad the Barracuda will skunk them!
Thanks for the info, and please let us know if you hear anything about that high-efficiency car w/ the 3cyl Cummins Dodge developed (w/Mr. Gore's help of course) the Dodge Drafter. (I heard it is named that in honor of VP. Gore's predessesor)

IT WAS JUST A QUESTION ABOUT SOMETHING I READ IN A MAGAZINE A FEW YEARS AGO... . SEE THE QUESTION MARKS AT THE END OF MY TOPIC... ... ... Even though I am new to this site i thought it was ok to ask a question to get some feedback on it. Some of you guys get all offended - just curious if anybody ever read the same thing. I wouldnt spend 35 dollars a year to be on this site to read about Cummins if i owned an International. I really enjoy my 98 that i bought brand new ------ One final thing to sdDalton from Texas: You crack me up calling me naive. I was going to respond to your comments but afterI read your profile I realized you cant even spell. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW ITS DIESEL (not deisel like you have). I guess your police dept in Texas does not require spelling(also its "writing speeding tickets" not "righting")as a job requirement. Just looking for a mature answer on a question. I bought my kids Hooked On Phonics for Christmas. If you leave me your address I will send you down a copy. (To the moderator : sorry for this reply but he should answer the question, not criticize the people writing it)IN THE FUTURE WILL KEEP MY COMMENTS STRICTLY ABOUT MY TRUCK PROBLEMS AND UPGRADE QUESTIONS. To the other members-- I appreciate all the great advice you have given me so far about upgrading my truck --wish I knew about this site a year ago

Rednut, no offence was meant by my post, I just cant turn down a chance to poke fun at our VP.
You've got to admit, (weather or not youre a democrat) whatever the subject is, he was instrumental in it's development, or he actually invented it.
I didnt think anyone could out do Clinton, but I was wrong. It'll be good entertainment, at least until November. #ad

Rednut, thanks. I am still looking for tires. If you have the phone #, post it and I'll call. I wouldnt want to inconvience you.
I'm looking for either 245 75 16 -or- 235 85 16. I would like to get some in 10 ply.
I like the big tire look, but I dont want to sacrifice weight capacity.
What I'd REALLY like is the the Ricksons, but the $$$$$ is a problem right now.

REDNUTS, please lighten up. I was just trying to scare you out of hiding. I didnt mean to offend you. I do have a warped sense of humor. By the way, i do know how to spell diesel. I sometimes type too fast, and i dislike proof reading. By the way, I have no problem listing my occupation. Do you? Oh did i mention that you need to lighten up? As far as making mistakes? Well, so what. This isnt a test, and who cares? knot me . cus i kin spel jest right, wheen i wants two. #ad

I saw a tee shirt, it said "huked on foniks wurked for me"
Well, I thought it was funny. Guess you had to be there.
Sometimes my fingers hit more buttons than I want, that really messes up my spelling.
Also, I think I'm dyslexic. I think one thing, but it comes out sdrawkcab... . ahh, I mean backwards by the time I type it out. #ad

(I'm not joking about the last two sentences)
