Somehow, I think we agree Dr. Evil. I drove long distance (Atlanta to LA) for a few years. Started in a Cabover IH. Then a Freightliner cabover. Then a Peterbilt conventional. Thought I had died and gone to heaven. The ride was good and dependable. And it looked good. All three ran Cummins engines and parts and service were available everywhere. Glad you like PSDs. Where I live with the service departments around here, that's why I switched to Dodge. And my truck works. It's not the fastest in the drag races and it won't outrun a Ford or Chevy top end, but when it's time to work, I wouldn't trade with either of those. My 98 was the same way. The main reason I like it is because it is a big inline six. When I open the hood, I'm always impressed with the simplicity of the whole thing. There are things I like about Ford, but the way they crank when it's cold or mpg and the complicated mass I see when the hood comes up are some things I don't like. I'll stay with the Ram.
