No, but I will tell you, Aluminum is lighter... alot lighter! I had a set of 35" BFG ATs on steel wheels, and then had a set of 35" MT bajas on aluminum wheels, and I swear they felt like they weighed half of the steel combo. My 33" BFGs on 05 Power Wagon Aluminum wheels are way lighter than the 35's, and I dont think its the tire that is the difference.

So what are good choices in aluminum wheels that really fit a 98 - right offset, etc? And where would you get them?

I'm not interested in big tires - running stock Michelins on 6. 5" steel rims. If they're a lot lighter, a lot straighter (my steel ones sure aren't very true), and tough enough to tow a big boat or trailer up to Alaska, I might make the investment.

the reason I had asked was to compare aluminum weights of both the 2nd generation trucks and 3rd generation trucks

a nice set is the 17X9s aluminum wheels for third gen

they bolt right up and only weigh 24lbs...

I just had no clue as to the weight of the 2nd generation
