OK, I'm probably going to get it for this... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . but I have to say it.
I understand that this is a "family" site. ok, good start.
I also understand (having children of my own), that there are things that I would not want her to read. Isn't that what prental supervision is for?
If, for instance, in the "other" section, a joke is posted and has $@xtual conotations, I can understand that these may be offensive to some... ... ... ... ... but isn't that just
personal opinion. What is acceptable to me, is not to others, and likewise.
I have gone on MANY other websites. The ones I have been on allow jokes... ... ... ... ... ... to a limit.
With that said, I have a question... ... ... ... ... ... ... what is the "other" section for. are we only supposed to discuss trucks?
I'm not trying to start something, or sound like a DH here, but I enjoy the light-hearted humor that I have read here. I personally believe that Political Correctness... ... . is Political Bu!!$h!^. Period. This world has too many thin skinned people. Those that will sue you for stupid reasons. Those that get offended if you tell them they look nice... ... ... . etc.
Are people that read, moderate, contribute to this site that thin-skinned?
Let's talk about reality for a minute... ... ... ... ... ... children learn about sex much earlier than most of us did. Schools have classes for them starting in grade school. They also learn abut drugs, bad language, etc. . Do you think that and "Children" that would be interseted in diesels would be young enough to not even have learned about this in school? or maybe even heard these jokes before?
I can understand if the joke is written completely, but, if the "offensive" punchline were left out, wouldn't that be good enough? "children" would then not even get the joke, and those of us that like t read them will get the punchline.
How about if we add in the title of a thread, some kind of disclaimer?
I'm stepping off the soap box and crawling under it for cover
