Fram Oil Filters

All, how about K&N oil filters??? anybody know about this type?

2001. 5 2500 4x4 6 speed white quad cab. k&n air filter, getting ready to add chip and remove muffler. 28'fiver(love to pull it and leave the phords behind!

Sure doesnt sound like the Wix I bought from the local auto store. It sure did said Wix on the box and filter, the box was Yellow and white.
The holes your descriping , sound more like whats in the DC / fleetguard filter.
