I have friction master pads on both trucks and they have worked great. I have 25k miles on the 96' set and they still look like new. The original pads on the 96' truck only lasted 25k miles.

I bought the last set from Nor-Fleet (208-342-5600) ask for Judy. I ordered part number SXE459 severe duty.

I don't know if they can still get them.

Good luck,
Tim

FOUR BARR ; THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION I WILL CHECK THESE BRAKE PADS OUT . ABOUT WHAT DO THEY COST. WHAT IS BETTER TURN ROTERS ON THE TRUCK ARE OFF? 97 4X4 5SP.

If I remember correctly, the pads were just under $100. I feel that they are worth it.

I am not an expert, but I would not turn the rotors unless it is necessary. My 94' has 100K miles and they needed turning. I had heard that turning the rotors on the truck was the best way to go, so I looked around until I found someone to do it on my truck. The problem came when my bearings were worn and caused the rotors to be very rough after he turned them (not usable). Therefore, I planned on replacing the bearing and found out that you can't. You must replace the entire housing including the bearings, seals, and rotor. It cost $305. 00 for each wheel and the Dodge dealer is the only place that carries them. Just realize that replacing the rotors are very costly.

When I put the new pads on the 96' truck, I didn't turn the rotors with no problems.
