How much height could be lost due to normal wear after 143K of hwy miles, only? Truck is a 4X.

Front end sits ~ 1"1/2 lower, even with a Tuff Country 2" leveling, steel spacers. They've been on there since new, and I just think the coils have compressed with wear. I don't want to go to aftermarket coils since I'd have to buy longer shocks, as well. My HD (blue/yellow) Bilsteins still work great, so I was thinking new OEM coils might get back the loss???

thanks

I have the OEM coils off my truck that you can have for free if you want them (just pay shipping). They sit about 2" lower than the D25s. PM me if interested. I also have some steel coil spacers sitting around if you prefer. Perhaps both?

Seems like stock is about 2-1/2" to the bumpstop, add your spring spacer to that if you are not using lowered bumpstops.

Using a spring spacer without lowering the bumpstop allows the stock spring to compress beyond its "set point" and definitely will reduce its life. If you are using a spring spacer now then a set of leveling springs would be the same height as your current setup and perform much better. I am happy with my KORE 2-1/2" lift springs, I'm sure Carli or Lorenz would also be a much better choice than a stocker and a spacer.

Thanks for the replies.

Big Sur... . thanks for the generous offer, but after more research, I'm not convinced my theory is corrrect, and therefore, new OEM's will not likely solve my problem.

Went to the dealer and gave them my vin # to tell me which coils I have... can't believe there are so many different options. I had just thought there would only be "stock" and snowplow. Just like jandtjil has pointed out.

So, guess if I want to do anything it will have to be aftermarket coils and longer, 5100 series Bilsteins.

Bob, does that mean D-25's coated to prevent them from turning passionate pink?

Which shocks are you changing to?

ORW has good prices, as you know. I just keep going back and forth thinking why do I want to throw money for a visual look that no one but me can really see unless they stare at the truck profile for awhile
