On my 92 Dodge when I purchased it the front end was sagging so I ended up buying heavy duty coil springs for the front. About 6 months later i was driving down the road and the driver side ball completely broke sending the front end of my truck into the pavement . So we brought it back to the shop had them fix it up , now 3 months later the same side the ball joint busted agian ... . Any advice on what can be done to solve this problem ... any advice where to buy heavy duty ball joints.

Wow. I don't know what to say. I have had every component off my trucks but cannot give you advice as to what to look for. Was only the broken paarts replaced? I mean did you replace all the items, like the rubber bushings on the control arms? All the ball joints? How about the rubber bushings (isolators) that secure the stabilizer rods?

Sounds like something is bound up or worn out causing you grief. If you don't perform a full-out rebuild of everything you'll never know if something is wrong. A bushing could be bound, but if you don't manually inspect evevry component, how would you know?

If you performed a full rebuild, I'd say get better joints... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... ?????

I believe the problem solver joints are for folks who insist using a new joint in a damaged control arm. Pretty suure on that, yeah.

If you just changed the ball joints, you could still have a bad lower control arm, which will let the ball joint loosen, and I guess posibly break.

Just how rough are the roads you are driving?

How heavy loads are you hauling?

Part of the problem with replacing the stock sprins with the heavy/super duty models is just hammers the front end that much harder and puts more stress on all the pieces. If you have free movement on the control arm and the stabilizer bar is good, look at the components.

Unfortunately, not all ball joints are created equal. There aren't any heavier duty ones than the good Moogs that I know of but there some inferior ones out there.
