quick question, i got a sqeaking sound coming from the front, thought it was the brakes but when i press on them the squeak stops i gets worse when i turn the wheel i think it is the hub, only 56k on the truck, i ferd has 190k???and has the originals still, WTF, i would not like to lose the hub on the highway!!!! my wife car's pads have a tab the contacts the rotor and sqeaks when the pads get low.

if this is going to happen every 50k is the free spin worth it?

Check the pads sounds like the sensor is touching. The way they are designed the squeal goes away when the brake gets applied. worse when turning is caused by deflection in the assemby. maybe you need pads and a bearing? Pull the wheels while you are checking the pads check the bearing for play

i took off the left wheel, the sound started there and now both wheels make it still a good amount of pad left on the the left wheel, when i turn a corner left of right it gets bad, also grabbed top and bottom of wheel, had some a good amount of movement.

Sounds just like U-joits mine and every one i know only lasts 65,000 mi. Buy new ones with grease fittings. Very common. Good luck.

IMO, go with the free-spin. They are serviceable, and you can consider what you will pay for a new set of factory hubs, a discount.

I've been very happy with my free-spins.

Good luck, Ray

PS. I have the factory hubs I took off my 06, 2500 with about 15K miles on them, just in case money is tight.

Movement = No good. I had over a 100k when I replaced one because it felt a little stiff. Got 196k on the other and its still good

thanks people, calling around for prices today, money tight will get the oem this time and free spin them next... . later
