Well I Have A Broken Bracket On The Drivers Side. It Is The Bracket That Is Rivoted To The Frame. Does Anyone Know Where I Can Buy A New One Or Do I Need To Just Grind Off The Rivots And Take It To A Good Welder And Have Them Weld It Up For Me. Has Anyone Else Had This Problem?

I Cant Just Bolt It Back On It Is Cracked In 3 Places. I Called The Local Dodge Dealer They Said Thay Cant Order It So Is Welding It My Only Option If I Cant Find Another One On A Truck At The Junk Yard?

How far back does that bracket go year wise? They are about to crush a 4x4 W250 here that is a complete gasser. It just rolled over 100K and I think the 318 died. I that truck would have the right bracket, I would try to grab it for you. Same cab design, I am guessing about an 88 truck. Glen

Well If You Want To Grab It Please Do I Will Try To Get It Welded Up But If I Cant I Would Like To Have One I Could Get A Hold Of Thanks. Jeb

I should buy the whole truck, that is where I got my bench seat, it is an automatic, but I would like the top of the cab in case mine ever rusts out. This one is solid, but the bed is beat like crazy and the sides of the cab are hammered, I think that is from the yard handling it with a rubber tired loader. It is a 3/4 ton, but the axles are much smaller than mine. If it has not been crushed into a 4x4 cube, I will see what I cen get off of it. Glen

The truck is still there, but now it is buried! The guy is a pretty good friend, maybe he will loan me the rubber tired loader to dig it out with. I did not forget you, I offered to trade a Kaiser M-715 chassis and body with differentials for the Dodge, they just want iron weight. Glen

Well I Found A Guy That Is Going To Make Me Some New Brackets He Is Going To Use Some 2-3" Box Steel And Fab Me A Set. Thanks For Looking For Me I Will Take Some Pics When He Is Done So You Can See Them. My Passenger Side Was Fine But I Would Rather Have Them Both New And Stronger Than The Original Stuff.

Jeb

Sounds like a plan, my little brother makes them for his Jeep projects all the time. Thanks for letting me know before I hauled out a generator, grinder and a drill. :) Glen
