Competition The Cannon Ball

Off Roading Which Winch??

Hey guys, I am going to be getting into the pulling thing a little more serious next season and wanted to ask a few questions of you veterans.

I would be able to enter the 7500lb class currently, but would like to enter the 8500lb class as well. I have been looking into a bolt up front reciever hitch so that I can hang 100lb suit case tractor wieghts as I see it I would need close to 900lbs but the strongest reciever I found was from Draw-Tight and it had only a 500lb tounge wieght rating. What are you guys using ? it is something you fabricated ? if so where can I get the actull reciever part ? anybody got pics that would great ?

I am also tossed up as to a good pulling tire I will prolly go with a Mickey Thompson Baja Claw, or the old Boggers, thinking of 35" x 14. 5

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

Dave and Lorretta sell the brackets I think? Couldn't hurt to e-mail and ask. Lorretta is very prompt on returning e-mails.

Oh yeah and asked her while your at it Boggers = BREAKAGE! Dave can testify to that!

The pro's I saw this past summer were either running Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's or Pro Comp X-Terrains

Thanks Mark, I will shoot Lorretta an e-mail. As far as tires over here on the West coast (sandy tracks) the only pro I have seen this year Brandon has been doing great with the Boggers. Csutton did break the minute he tried them, but since has upgraded to the Dana 80.

Brandon, I think the boggers your using work great for the dryer sandy tracks here, However you never know when somebody may decide to add the water. I think our track at the NORCAL event was pretty wet and be what happened to Chris not sure. I do know it was wetter then the last few pulls I have been to. Brian has a set of the Mickey Thompsons Baja Claws and they worked good at the Test Tune first part of the this year there not as aggresive but seem to move the dirt pretty good. Man if I was rich I could get both :G

Lorretta does have the brackets for sale for the international and the John Deer suit case weights.

"B" how much weight can you add to the front of your rig with the one bracket ?

Thanks for the help guy's
