Looking for threads on 2007 3500 2wd adding grease to the front wheel bearings. What are people doing? Not finding anything in the search forum.

Do you know if it uses a similar unit bearing to the 4wd units? If so pull the ABS sensor and pump grease through that hole with a rubber tipped grease gun fitting. I can put about 40 pumps into each bearing. I have used Lucas and Amsoil disc brake rated grease and never had an issue with grease type or had a bearing failure since greasing my bearings.

Thanks for the info. I don't know if they are the same, I was just told they were a sealed unit by a shop that have dealt with and that's where the subject ended.
I will give Amsoil a try. Have there been any articles written in the Register? It seems to be a quiet subject.

The Unit itself is sealed however the bearings themselves are not and the seals are outboard of the bearings so any grease put in through the ABS hole does work its way through the bearings. I have seen write ups in the past but do not recall what section they were under.
