Just put new left front hub on 2006 3500. the connector on the new hub was different so I spliced in the old one.
Now I get a ABS code C1014. I see what the code is with a ODB2 but there is no indication of how to fix issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

All things equal, a soldered connection will add more resistance than a gas-tight, crimped connection (which is hard to get with the tools most of us have!) and either will have more resistance than a straight run. But, we're talking minimal change in ohm readings. So, that's why I'm not really certain that the splice resistance is the problem. On something really sensitive, like an MAF sensor, I'd bet that the splice would cause problems. But, I don't know how sensitive the Dodge ABS system might be.

If the connector was wrong it is a good bet the sensor is the wrong one also. Rule #1, if it doesn't fit it probbaly won't work correctly.

Replaced sensor with one purchased from Genos and all works fine.. Warning about Rockauto parts.. I purchased the hub from Rockauto and it was the wrong one, their reply to the problem was buy one or return and we will send new one.. if they sent the wrong one how would the know what was right… But they did offer a 19.00 refund if I sent them a copy of the invoice for the correct part.. Very generous as it is a 2 hr procedure to replace sensor which would not have happened if they sent the right part to begin. Lesson buy from Genos…!!!

The resistance of a good solder joint isn't going to make any difference in the resistance levels the ECM is looking for. The sensor is incompatible.
