Anyone replace the front wheel universal joints? Mine needs it bad, any tricks or special tools, procedures, etc. What is everyone's opinion on sealed or with a grease fitting? Thanks as always! I have a 2003 3500 with the 5.9.

Jeah, one hot Tip - use an angle grinder and cut the cross out of the Ujoint, often they are so sized in that you bend the ears of the shaft.
Cutted out you can hammer out every cup alone without the risk of bending something.
Then clean the eyes with sand paper that the new cups fit nice with a little grease, they should go in with less force.

I like grease fittings but I grease them then often, so every 4000Mi. If someone isn't willing to grease on a regular schedule then the sealed units are the better choice.

Usually the ones without grease fittings are stronger as they don't have a hole through the joint for the grease to transfer.

Thanks all!! I'll still research, I read the manual on it, it doesn't look that bad but that may be the last famous words....LOL
The good part is I have lots of time as my wife does not use her car in the summer, but.......who wants to drive a little Honda? Answer: beggars like me....LOL
This is the best $35 I have ever spent joining this site!

This is the scenario I will use for the excuse to change to Dynatracks locking hubs, and dump the unibearing crap.

Those hubs look nice, but I better not get those, I kinda like my bedroom, that couch is too hard for me....LOL
