I have a quesiton about fuel additives. Can they go bad at all if stored in a semi-hot climate? I keep a bottle of that Power Service "Diesel Kleen" under the back seat and being it gets hot inside the truck during the day while sitting outside during the work hours and I was just wondering if that hurts the performance properites of it? The bottle doesn't say to store it in a certain climate temp but I thought i would ask if anyone knew.
Also, can it hurt the engine any if you mix a full tank of fuel with a little more than is recommended? For example, it says it will boost my cetane 6 numbers when the entire 32oz is mixed with 100 gallons and 3 numbers when 16 oz is mixed with 100 gallons. So I usually can get about 4 tanks per 32 oz bottle, but I was wondering if it would hurt the engine any if more than recommended is used per 35 gallon tank full? Maybe 16 oz per 35 gallons... . which would probably put me over the 6 cetane numbers..... not sure, have to break out a calculator, but anyone know if this would hurt the engine any?
