Do any of yall happen to know the fuel capacity in our 1st gens. My fuel gauge is out of order and I can't find it anywhere in the owners manuel. :( I had seen a 1st gen dually on ebay that said the fuel capacity was 22 gal. but i would like a second oppion. thanks for the help

As far as I know, all 1st Gen Diesels have 35 Gal. cap tank

Now I don't know, the FSM states capacities as follows standard =20, Optional = 30, Ramcharger = 34.

I think the diesel pickups was 30 then... still looking.

My 93 owner's manuel listed it as 30 Gal for the 4X2 and 20 Gal for the 4X4. Don't know if that is right but I do know my 4X2 D250 holds 30 Gal.

Thanks fellas, so far I've just been assuming that it hold 20 so I've been filling up when the trip get a little past 400. I don't know it the low fuel light works and i dont want to be walking if it don't when i do fill it up it usually puts about 19-20 gal in.

Hmm, i'm pretty sure my pickup has a 30 gallon tank, i've put about 25 gallons in it when the low fuel light has come on.

EDIT I just looked in my 92 FSM and it says 30 gallons in mine for 5. 9L engine (Gas or Diesel)

Mine holds 30 gallons, but the gage isn't linear. At the half-full mark, I can only add 12 gallons. There's a lot of fuel below the 1/4 mark. Even when the lo-fuel light comes on, I can go another 50 miles without a problem.

I'm in the same boat... ... ... ... ... . when my gauge reads 1/2 I can only install 12 gallons. I know it's a 30 gallon tank.

I have been buying some extra fuel... putting it inot a five gallon can and putting that into the wifes truck when she in't looking. She thinks her truck gets 35 MPG!! ROFLMAO I think she is hooked on Cummins Power. She DOES wonder why MY truck uses so much fuel. It's the POWER BABY!!! LOL shhhhhhhh don't tell her.

The other day she was hot rodding the darn thing!! I couldn't believe it.

I have put over 30 gallons (34 if I remember correctly. ) in my 90 W250 on multiple occasions. It has the stock tank. Did I read in this thread that you are filling it every 400 miles and it takes 20 gallons??? I fill mine at 400 miles (low fuel light on, nearly stalling in tight corners) and it takes the above 30+ gallons. I have not run the truck much over the past 2 years and would have to go through my business records to give you exact fill quantities. I hope this helps you. Chris
