Just changed the fuel filters on my 2019 Ram 2500 4x4 for the first time @ 9964 miles. Fairly straight forward operation. I used a YouTube video , that was helpful at getting the right tools together. One thing is you don’t need the water sensor wrench since the sensor now is on the housing. The front filter is a little more difficult to replace in terms of getting at it. I could not get the vertical access to the front filter with the socket extensions they did on the video. So I had to remove the filter at a slight angle. The universal joint adapter was great. One thing I noticed when putting on the new front fuel filter and torquing it to 22.5 ft-lbs, the filter threaded smoothly until it got tighter then not smooth until torqued to target. I didn’t see anything on lubing the threads with a film of oil. Would that be a bad thing? Also the rear fuel filter didn’t drain well for me. So some spilled fuel. The 1/4” tubing to aid draining direction and maybe waiting some time to drain after loosening the filter might help. I will try that next time.
