Fuel filter reads 95 percent.
No other messages.
I’ve actually never done a code check on the ‘19.

how does one get it to show any stored codes, like I used to on the third gen via 3 key cycles?

I assume they’d show up in messages, but I have no idea.

when it did the “no start”, the message was “fuel filter service required”. No sign of this any more.

Purchased the X2s, but haven’t installed yet.

Volt meter has them both at or near 14.8. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a battery with that many volts.

Thanks all,

dave.

“fuel filter service required”

Splitting hairs, but, this is important. "Service" is not "Change".

You may have broke a Water In Fuel, WIF, sensor wire, have a heater problem or other "Service" needed on the fuel filter system.

14.8V tells you you have a surface charge. It tells you NOTHING ELSE about the battery. Load test them separated already OR keep chasing your tail. Until you KNOW if it is or is not batteries then you will be making real progress. Bad batteries and/or bad connections FUBAR electrical systems so badly you will be looking at ghosts in the fuel filters when the real problem isn't there.
