Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fuel gauge

I just ordered an air dog 150 and my fuel gauge does not work i would like to fix it at the time of the install. What parts would i need to fix? Sending unit and such and where is a good place to get the parts? thanks

Check all the easy stuff first, Make sure the ground is good to the unit. I think the haynes manual has a good section on the fuel system.
If the fuel lines on the top of the fuel module is rusted you may look into a draw straw from vulcan,
