Checked with the fuel depot where I fuel up to see what they do for winter fuel. They said they use a 80/20 mixture of diesel plus additives. They test it daily and it is currently good for -36. Alot of school buses and trucks fill up here so the fuel is always fresh. They have had 3 customers call about fuel gelling and investigated each complaint. What they found was the fuel was not gelled but there was icing because of moisture. There was no moisture at their tanks. It had formed in each cutomers tank. So the message here is to keep as full of a tank of fuel as you can and drain a few ounces every now and then out of your seperater... .
