Looking for suggestions. I have a small leak that looks like it is coming from between the bottom of the fuel tank and the strap supporting the tank. Any ideas on repair? Thanks

Are you sure that the leak is comming from there, and not from above from say a leaky filler neck? Mine has leaked there for a long time, but I have never gotten around to fixing it.

If it is the tank leaking, they make compounds that you can put on the tank that will harden and glue the thank shut. You can check it out at the local NAPA for these products; or just drain, drop, clean, and JB-weld the leak.

In one of the recent tdr issues, an article regarding a fuel tank swap, siad that the strap can wear a hole in the tank if a rock gets caught between the strap and the tank, or something to that effect. I would drop the tank, and with a little fuel in it, roll the tank around and try to find the leak. I think you could epoxy some sort of patch over the leak. Hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong. If it were me, that would be all the excuse I would need to get a 60 gal tank from aero tank.
