I have a '96 2500 with a fuel leak. I believe it is coming from the primer pump since when I prime it a bring it back up to pressure I can feel the rubber boot that goes over the primer button start to slide around and it is very slippery. Is there any way to fix it or is it necessary to purchase a new pump. I am sure that an O-Ring has fallen apart or something inside. Also when it it running and the fuel line is up to pressure there is a continuous drip of fuel until the pressure in the line has dissipated, then and only then the leak stops. Also if I do need to replace the primer pump is it something that can be done on my own or do I need to put it in a shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
