Update:

Finally had this repair a month later (took two weeks to get parts in):

Dealer replaced the CP3, apparently I also had a leak at the cylinder head, for which they replaced the fuel injector connector tube and O-ring, also under warranty.

He cleaned up the engine compartment nicely. Gotta admit, looks like he did a good job. I'll know in the morning when I leave for work if there are any new leaks.

How did it run Scott? any differant? Did they check the lift pump?

I would reset the overhead and fill it and see if the MPG gets better.

I had mine in yesterday I told them To repace the lift pump The pressure drops to 1 Psi normal and will drop to 0 psi when towing, It starves the CP3. and please check the CP3 and make sure it is doing the min. of 23,000 PSI I think it may be damaged from the lift pump starving it.

They called after checking it and said they are replacing both pumps they will be here in 1 1/2 weeks come get it if you want to drive it till then. Oo.

I was happy with that :D

Dave, it doesn't run any differently - I have never noticed any change in performance, it has always purred like a kitten, with plenty of power.

No leaks (so far), and I'll be seeing if it affects my mileage any.

My dealer didn't check the lift pump, it was hard enough convincing them to replace the CP3, until I actually SHOWED it to them.

Dave, PM me with the name of your dealer, so I have it for future reference if I need my lift pump checked.

They've ordered the new pump for mine. It took them two weeks to get the one for a 2003 ahead of me. I kept crawling around under there till I found where the leak is congregating. It's on the wiring harness as described above. The fuel on top must have been blow back. The dealer agreed and DC wants to swap the pump out.

Still waiting on the pump.

Hi, Guys! Add mine to the list. 24k miles and it's been leaking for a short while. I had to wait until I went on vacation so I could hang the truck up. The leak was to the point where it was undeniable. While It's in I'm having the weatherstrip TSB done and the reverse lamp switch replaced. These all were festering problems. The wait for my pump is projected to be 4 days (should be in 2/3)

FYI, A friend who has an '04 also is experiencing only slight moistness under the pump and some odor (he is close to 30K mi. ). He was denied replacment weeks before me at the same dealer until it actually starts to leak droplets.

My dealer still hasn't ordered mine. He talked to Dodge and Bosch yesterday and Bosch said they are still working on the problem. He said he can go ahead and do it but at Bosch's recommendation he suggested I wait a little longer. The AA must be their fix and they are running behind.
