It doesn't show on the EVIC, in 20,000 miles I could tel maybe twice, the exhaust had a burning smell when I was parking a couple times, mine is 99% towing so maybe I am missing something, also why would one really care anyway when it is taking place, there isn't anything you can do anyway.
RonD, I need to know when I'm in regen due to my manual trans. The updated programing in 09 has caused my clutch to fail, due to the surging when going past 2K RPM. If I would have known I was in regen while climbing a grade at 22K GCVW, I would have backed off the throttle and not slipped the clutch when I was accelerating from 4th to 5th after a Semi slowed everyone up.

I recently pulled my 39 ft C-Force triple axle down to the Talimena Drive for a long weekend of dirt bikin. My truck handles the load quite well, I usually run the posted speed limit and got 7 mpg hand scored with the evic showing 7. 7-7. 8 most of the time. I have never had any clue to it regenerating. My last oil change was around 6500 miles on my truck, couldnt be happier about how it runs and tows. I usually run in 5th gear to keep it in the power.
