Hopefully I'm not gonna "overshoot the runway" here but... . and this is just my thought on fuel pins/tweaks/mods etc... .
I'd probably modify the AFC cone first... then go on from there. My logic is this, if you modify the internal "foot" on the lever you have a pretty much permanent mod that can't be undone without completely replacing that lever... and the smoke that goes with it...
I'd rather do the cone and work up from there. You can find a truckload of info/how to/pictures on the cone and the method of modifying it right here in the 1st gen forum and the picture galleries of various members.
There is some seriously awesome stuff done by the guys, one fellow, formula, did a detailed set of test on cone travel up/down, pin dimensions and more.
All you need to do is take a look thru the sticky posts and use the search function a bit.
If you can't find something specific I'm positive you'll have a half dozen guys jump in with links/pics and more for you. .
BTW, don't forget to use or start using some additive for your fuel. This helps reduce some of the wear and tear on the pump as we tweak them up by providing lubrication.
