I have a 98 12v 5 speed 4x4. When it was stock except for 4" exhaust I got what I thought was a #11 fuel plate (ebay special
). I got the 11 because I didn't see any warnings about a pyrometer or stock clutch that the #10 comes with. Shortly after I completely shattered my clutch into hundreds of pieces! Then a little while later went the turbo exhaust housing. Cracked in 5 places.
Question #1: Did I really get a # 11?
I put in a 14cm wastegated housing, boost, and pyro and a Luk Pro Gold clutch. My first pull of the season last year I smoked the h#!! out of this clutch. Smelled good for about 10 hrs. Since then I have put in 2 trannies and 60,000 miles mostly towing a 22ft enclosed trailer and the clutch works fine. I am ready to add a set of 370's and a larger compressor housing.
Question #2: Will this clutch hold the new power?
Question #3: Should I get a different plate?
I would like to be in the 400-500 hp range and I LOVE to sled pull! Any help would be great thanks. Oo.
