A whopping 5psi at idle and 4. 5psi at WOT under load and that's with the original lift pump. Good thing I have a 30psi gauge!

Room to grow with that gauge. 5-7psi is spec for oem LP. 4. 5psi wot is a healthy LP. Are those CB Parker edm's or not as hot as the ones he had?

What are CB Parker EDMs? These were done by DonM. They are about the same as PODs but with less haze at idle than the PODs. Better off the line and midrange power but not quite as good on the top end as the PODs.

I have an electric LP I've been meaning to put in for a year and a half but I was waiting to get the FP gauge in first to see what the stock LP was doing. I like the idea of the "sexy" piston LP but Cummins West will probably want my first born for it.

ha ha spoke too soon. I put about 120 miles on this morning. Mostly highway and some in the hills. When the engine is up to operatng temp the FP at idle drops to 4-4. 5psi. On the highway at 70mph w/about 10psi boost it is 3-3. 5psi. WOT as it hits about 25psi boost the FP drops to 2-2. 5psi and from 35 to 45psi boost it is under 1psi. After 45psi boost WOT it's too hard to read the gauges and drive. :D

Yep the stock lift pump can not keep up with a hungry VE. If you go the sexy piston LP route, all the parts should run you $175-$200. It maintains 11psi wot with my Westach electric FPG. Mechanical FPG would suck down to 6psi. Which one do I believe? Could be sender, could be difference between mech and elec.
