After the failure of my lift pump, I am now getting a fuel pressure gauge. My question is which style to use. Mechanical or electircal? What are the benefits of each?

Thanks

Kris

You pay more for electrical and there is a reason. It's better. And easier to install. Just my opinion. I run Autometer Ultralites... ;)

If you go with a manual gauge you need a needle valve to cut the pulses. It's a good idea anyway because if you get a leak you can shut it off. You're supposed have an isolator in line, keeps the fuel out of the cab in case of leaks. Some people don't bother. ;)
