After the failure of my lift pump, I am now getting a fuel pressure gauge. My question is which style to use. Mechanical or electircal? What are the benefits of each?
If you go with a manual gauge you need a needle valve to cut the pulses. It's a good idea anyway because if you get a leak you can shut it off. You're supposed have an isolator in line, keeps the fuel out of the cab in case of leaks. Some people don't bother.
Totally agree, done both. No isolators, no needle valves, no air bleeding. Just screw in the sending unit and run one wire in the cab. Stewart Warner Impact used here.
