What's the best way to permanently install a fuel pressure gauge? So that there is no or extremely minimal possibility of causing a fuel leak?

Say, Mark, didn't Chip Fisher talk about that on Saturday? I was busy running around and trying to get a few pix, so I missed much of his talk (I know guys kept you quite busy, too!), but I did see him pointing out which fittings on the filter cover to tap into to look for which pressures. I bet if you e-mailed him, he'd be able to answer your question. He should be back in NH by now - he said he and Jack were leaving Tulsa for a straight run home.

That's right Bruce, Chip did talk about it (that was good timing). What I'm trying to decide is if it's safe to put a pressure gauge in and leave it there for full time monitoring -- in the cab. Although, I've almost talked myself out of it as not necessary. I think I'll have Chip overnight me a PrimeLoc system so I can put it in this weekend and diagnose it myself (PrimeLoc has a built in pressure gauge; under the hood) and tell if it's really low pressure or not. I hate that drop-in cannister type of filter anyways, especially knowing the ISB spin-on filter has better filtration. That way I have the pressure gauge on the PrimeLoc and better filtration besides.

Bomb on!

Mark,

What is the correct fuel pressure range after the filter? I have thought about installing a pressure gage. When I was fishing we had one for the 671 Jimmy. When the pressure dropped below 60PSI it was time for a filter change.
