Just installed the Nordskog

I installed the Nordskog this weekend. I u-bolted the sender to the hydraulic booster line bracket that bolts to the master cylinder, and I used Aeroquip industrial fittings and a 18" grease gun hose to connect to the filter housing. From the sender I used a 2027-2-2S 1/8-27 pipe to pipe 90 deg. ell, then a straight 2045-2-2S 1/8-27 pipe to pipe with a swivel nut. The swivel fitting allows me to connect to the grease gun hose with out having to spin the sender.

I mounted the gauge right in front of the transfer case lever pod. Easy to see during the day, and not too bright at night (has a dimmer wire). If I figure out the personal webspace on my ISP, I'll try to post some pics.

Thats funny that Summit doesn't carry the sending unit anymore as I just got mine. Its 0-16psi and P/N NRD-S8424. I just got finished installing it last week and just got back from the first trip with it. I made a S shaped bracket and attached one end to the bolt holding the oil dipstick, and mounted the sender to the other end. I used one of Rays banjo bolts from Genos mounted under the fuel filter. The hose is an 18 inch 3500psi lube hose used for air pressure lube guns. I mounted the gage under the dash with one of Genos rubber donut mounts. I can't believe that Summit wouldn't take the sending unit back and exchange it for the lower psi, as they are the same price. I'd try that before I went to the expense of getting new gage and sending unit.

just ordered autometer fantoms

from eguages.com

fuel press 0-15 w/sender - 214. 11 #ATM-5761

boost 0 - 35 psi - 48. 25 #ATM-5704

Fuel Pressure Gage

I have a question on the installation. I'm using a hose and the question is how do you purge the air from the line or is it not necessary. To the sending unit that is. TIA
