I sher hope my cummins no the difference between 1. 69 and 1. 36, A . 33 HIKE in one day. That the biggest raise I have seen around here in a LONG TIME. Has any one seen a higher raise.
Most everyody around here has been at $1. 49-$1. 56 for several weeks. Although last week up near Bellingham, WA I saw several places sell(attempting to sell) diesel at $1. 99.
BTW Please keep those high prices back there I like our medium price for fuel.
smartineau,Yes it was I saw one fuel stop at 1. 59 in the morning, and when return home it was raise to 1. 69,I hope it does not stay up this high who knowns what will happen if we get a early cold snap around here in Minnesota.
I was in South Dakota a couple weeks ago and it was $1. 62 almost everywhere in that state. On the way home in St Joe Missourri it was $1. 29. Got home to Ky and it was $1. 49. I wish I had paid attention to what the taxes were to see if that may be a contributor to the differences. Also, driving my truck around 1800 rpm is getting about 19. 5 gpm empty. Going out west on the long, flat interstates I was running around 80 at 2600 rpm and getting about 13. 8. Whew! That hurt.
Fuel in my area of Fl has been changing every day for last two months or so. Paid $132. 9 last week this week it's $141. 9. Hope I can stretch the fuel til it comes down again.
Around my home in N. VA, the price is around 1. 59 or a little less. On a road trip a couple of weeks ago saw it running for 1. 23 at a couple of truck stops on HWY 81. Flying J and Loves.
The Mobil station I use in Manassas is $1. 499, has been for months (at least up until Tuesday) - but I stopped at another Mobil in Gainesville VA 'cause I was running on fumes and they were $1. 699 - and I think more stations around here are at the $1. 699 price than the $1. 499 price.
Back in February 2000, fueled up at my favorite station at 7:00 AM @ . 99cts/gal. When I returned home that evening the same station was selling diesel for 2:09/gal. Now that hurts..... There was a heating oil shortage that year here in the NE... Around here diesel seems to closely mimic home heating oil prices, minus the over the road taxes...
