Anyone know exactly how to get the historical data from specific gas stations on Gas Buddy or some other information site.
What I would like to look at is the last few weeks of pricing at our local stations.
While demand is at a extreme low, I have personally seen fuel deliveries and not a +/- 1 cent change in many weeks at IMO 5 stations on my way to work.
How is it possible 5 stations have not changed their pricing in weeks even when I have seen the trucks deliver and wondered if the price would change the following day?
I thought the tax was paid at time of fuel drop, so if we are supposed to pay a certain Tax that number is now way off based on current fuel prices? I'm guessing its just money in their pocket, but for the folks working in Healthcare and critical worlds they could use the extra bucks in their pockets for what they risk.
Personally I think there should be a more utility based approach to pricing where you pay for delivery and use. That could stabilize the trucking and refinery costs an maintain quality of life for that industry, then the product costs would vary, just like solar, wind, natural gas turbines, it would not be much different except for all the hidden made up fees the utilities charge us all now.
Not going to happen, but I'm more curious about how the heck these 5 places are in cahoots. Or did I make this all up.
I know the one place has had the same darn price for a while because their sign was broke and one side said .879 for regular and the other said 1.879 for regular for a few days. So it stood out when you went past that it appears to be way sub $1.
