OK, here's the deal...
My lift pump was going south, so I had DC replace it. To keep this one good, I decided to go with the pusher pump setup. I ordered from Summit and while I was at it, ordered an AutoMeter Electric Fuel Pressure (0-15psi) gauge.
I installed the pusher pump and was going to install the AutoMeter next. I checked the pressure at the VP44 with my trusty AC+R gage and this thing will NOT go below 23-22psi at idle. I ordered another pusher pump (5psi, 72gph) and tried again. SAME THING (23-22psi).
So here I sit with a Brand New AutoMeter 4361 still in the box and never installed. If anyone is interested in it, let me know ASAP, because I will be shipping it back to Summit shortly, unless somebody wants it. I also have a Carter 7psi 110gph pusher. I can definitely hang on to it as a spare, but then again, if anyone is interested, let me know.
With all the talk about fuel gauges and pumps, I figured this may be the place for the post. And the total will be less than the total and shipping from Summit.
