I have a HPFP fass type pump which I have moved from one truck to another. In the process I had to remove the four bolts which mount the pump and also hold the actual pump together. My son inadverdently picked up the pump without those bolts intact which seperated the pump. Is there anyone who has an exploded view of the pump or who can tell me how to put it back together? A spring and ball fell out which I assume is the govenor or pressure relief valve and I don't know in which configuration to reinstall it. Thanks, for the help. Wayne

I think that is the way I put it back together. When I try to crank the truck the filter drain leaks aroud the release handle. Is there a repair kit or oring kit for this? Do I need to get a new drain for the filter? I removed the filter drain and could not see any obvious defect. Thanks for the picture and help with the pump. Wayne

Thanks again DD I checked with dodge and they only now offer the complete filter unit $300+ so that option is out. I will probably try to secure new orings and failing that move to a totally different fuel filtering system. Wayne

Well I discovered the problem with the drain. The HPFP is not backing down evidently the pressure relief valve is malfunctioning. I have taken the pump apart and reassembled over half a dozen times and nothing works. The pump buries my 60lb gauge. It seems that the rubber ball which I assume is the pressure relief valve does not move freely enough in the slot. Is there a replacement ball and spring and where can you get one? Thanks for the help already and any you may can give in this. Wayne

FYI this HPFP came off of a truck that was leaking fuel badly. We replaced the pump with a new one. I put this pump on a truck that was out of service for a while and the pump would not run. We had cleaned the brushes but when I dissasembled the pump it was completley filled with a grease like substance. Probably leaked motor oil and grime. Pump runs fine just cant regulate the pressure.
