Does anyone have the P/N for the intank float assembly? and good source, I plan to drop the tank for fix got a quote of $450 but confused on P/N as there is no pump in the tank and I can't seeem to get good info from parts houses. 1997,12 valve stock

Give me your complete VIN and I will look it up as I get a chance this afternoon.

Is the sender bad??? Or is there another issue??

Let me know.

Mike.

Thanks for your responce. I have a transfer tank, that I use regularly when I travel with my 5th wheel. The gage will slowly drop to 1/2 when I refill it only takes 3 or four gallons in about 60 miles as I adverage 14mpg pulling my RV. VIN 3B7KC23DXVM5529874

There is a choice even with your VIN for that sending unit. If you want I will verify the correct one Monday AM and provide you with the part number. Then you can check for one at your local Dodge dealer.

Sender is the float unit you can see on the side of the plastic sump.

One lists for $75. 00 and the other is around $50. 00 right thru Mopar so it will beat the $450. 00 quoted if you do it yourself. :-laf

I will check your response Saturday night when I get home.

I did not drop my fuel tank to repair the sender, I raised one side of the bed which appears much easier. My problem was where the float arm fastens to the plastic rheostat arm. The pivot point was not secure. I took a very small ss bolt and placed at the pivot point. I then placed a jam nut on it to allow freedom to slide but not come off. That was 7 years ago and all is well.
.
A year later the out going side (plastic I think) fuel line close to the tank rubbed the frame until it developed a leak.
Still waiting for my return line over the transmission to start leaking. Been lucky so far.

Duane,

The VIN number that you have provided is wrong, that's why I am getting 2 choices on the sending unit.

Can you please check it again for me??? Last 8 should have two letters and 6 numbers. What you have provided is two letters and 7 numbers.

Thanks, Mike.

Part number for the sender only is 5013467AA thru Mopar.

List price is $54. 25.

Stocked in the Boston Parts Center.

Not sure where you are but should only be a day or two away if you order one.

Only other thing that I did not check on would be a new O-Ring for the top where it seals, if you order the sender you might want to get one of those as well.

Hope this helps.

Mike.

Thanks for your help I am in West Palm Beach, FL I'll see what is available in this area. So far it has been a dead end at local part houses. I'll let you know how I make out.
