gtsm,here's a good one for you ;my friend took his '99 in for warranty on the same thing,the service writer went over and gave the tank a big kick. It worked!Told him not to fill the tank up all the way into the neck as per owners manual. Manual says two automatic nozzle shut offs,no more. Service writer said if it happens again to kick it or hit with a rubber mallet.
This is BS to me,Dodge knows full well that their senders are junk. What if you have a full tank and are going downhill,the fuel is going to come up in the neck.
Maybe for the 2002 Dodge will include a rubber mallet and holder under the fuel lid.
Try kicking it and see what happens.
