Would you prefer a 6.0 or a new Cummins?

The Montanan-New Fords with a Cummins

I truly don't understand why anyone would buy a Ford Pooter-Stroke or a Chevy Dura-Maxi-pad Diesel when you can get a Cummins! I guess those guys just don't know anything about Diesels.

Well other than being a GM product the chevy's have not been fueling the crancase or breaking the crankshaft or quitting due to wire chafing. They at least move when you keep fuel and lube in them. That is more than the 6. 0 crowd can brag to. And having a de-tuned allison was a stroke of genuis of thier marketing department.

Hey JyRO- I checked your link, saw your sig at that post and wonderin' why in the heck you are on a ferd site? (it is ferd only?) Whazzup widt dat'?

BTW- at the time I checked, no one had replied back yet to yor suggestion. Will chaeck it later though- could get good n' entertaining there:cool:

fkovalski - Easy enough ... I need a good laugh every now and then. HA! :D Actually, I am not brand partial, I just happen to believe that for all around service and value, the Dodge Cummins is the way to go. I like to talk trucks, regardless of what brand they are. I'm glad I made the right decision to buy the Cummins.

Picture everyone driving the same ctd to their same looking diner in their same looking town and ordering the same thing then going to their same job and coming home to their same looking house in their same looking town. . . . . ... ya gotta break up the manotany with some sort of Stradgedy

it seems the one guy over there can't read either... he quoted part of an above post and then corrected it... . shame he couldn't read the whole thing

Those guys are funny. Their big claim to fame "a real crew cab".

I'd like to know what percent of them really use that back seat and how often. I mean have you ever actually seen anyone riding back there? I honestly would go gasser before buying a 6. 0 Ford.

I don't know if I would go that far ... ... never mind I would. Actually, if I REALLY REALLY REALLY needed a crew cab..... I would buy a 6. 9 or a non-turbo 7. 3.

BIG SURPRISE..... they deleted the post. Typical of how they run things over there. JyRo... ... what did you say? I wasn't fast enough.

Oh yeah, what a surprise. They deleted what I posted on it also. Guess they can't handle the truth. We all knew that anyways.

THats a fact... . THey don't want the truth. I've contended before that there is some stake in Ford somewhere on that site. I mean as owners of dealers that could be directly impacted from bad posts. I mean really. Most these sites are about traffic to advertisers and revenue generation. All my posts over there BROUGHT traffic, the hits on my posts were always high. Avertisers were happy... . Then they banned me, the money stopped flowing. Site will probably dry up soon... . HEHEHEHE

Chipstein - I wish you could've read it all. A guy gets on there and says something like, "another one bites the dust. " Then tells his story how his 6. 0L messed up. Later he says something like, "does anyone know of an equivalent?"

So I said something like, "I would suggest a Cummins Dodge ... however they're not equivalent, they're better!" And I even included a smirk ;) of some sort so they'd know that I was just funnin with 'em. I'm gonna go over there and look for it, and see if I'm banned. This is my first time to have a reply deleted. It was just for $hits-n-giggles. :D

Oh yeah, my worst offense I guess was that I mentioned that I go over to thedieselSTOP site for laughs. That was just for fun too, but I guess that one really made 'em mad.

F.O.R.D. -

Guys,

I had to drive to GA. (600 miles) on Saturday, and back to MI. on Sunday (600 miles). I joke you not, I saw 2 6. 0's broke down. One had the rollback there ready to load it up. The other 6. 0 had a 5th wheel on the back but had a large truck (like a 550?) towing the PSD. I wouldn't have done that. A truck towing a truck (6. 0) towing a 5'er ... it even looked hazardous. I feel for these guys. They are told the 6. 0 is reliable, they put their money on 'em, and a large percentage of owners are finding out otherwise.
