Busted! Used to own a furd, but it was a gasser. I am humbled, but small block owners CAN suffer from the dreaded rectal cranial inversion.

So this guy I know, who used to hot rod gassers in the days of the 396 and used to own a 1G CTD, had a 3G 3500 with straight exhaust at his shop last night. He started bragging about how stout and fast and big and bad the 3G was. I didn't see any gauges on it and the dual exhaust was itty bitty --like 2. 5 with 3" tips.

SO, I let him drive my truck. Most of what he said I can't print here, but when he reached for 7th gear around 110, he said, "If this thing had another gear it'd do 200mph!"



He shut up about the mighty stock 3G.
