When you unplug the FCA it throws a code irregardless of max rail pressure. I think on mine it was p0251. Still doesn't make pressure though. That fact makes me think the problem is injector related and not electronic.

The code it throws with it unpluged is the ECM saying hay I cant find the CP3 and if you over pressure the rail you will get a second code for over pressure been there done that :-laf and you are right about the injectors and the return flow test will prove it right or wrong.

and that makes sence. unpugging the fca results in a 26,111psi, if your not seeing that then you have one of three problems, bad cp3, loose or incorectly tq'ed push tubes, or injectors---but you said you already checked all that. maybee double check stuff.

Yes sirs, the double checking will commence shortly. I am going to go back to stock nozzels, I have a line on some pretty reasonable used ones, with my luck one will be messed up but no way I am paying $100+ per stock nozzle.

I appreciate all the help and suggestions guys, I was afraid this thread would get buried in a sea of "smartydom". And don't think I wont pm some of you guys as I work through this problem. :D

most of the time it's not the nozzles---it's the injector body returning too much fuel, the only fix is a rebuilt set or new. let us know how everything goes, or if you need some help give me a call.
