Has anyone here that has a Jacobs exhaust brake installed a GDP 2 micron fuel filter system? I just replaced my injectors with a set of DDP 50 HP injectors. I want to install the GDP kit but on visual inspection it appears that the Jacobs vacuum pump mounting bracket will interfere with installation of the feed line fitting and elbow on the top of the CP3 if I follow the GDP install instructions #@$%!.

If I need to I guess I'll have to come up with an alternative connection to the CP3, but I would prefer to use the GDP kit as designed if possible.

Any thoughts or experience with this combination?

Give Richard at GDP a call, chances are, he has dealt with this exact scenerio. He is very helpful, I am sure he won't mind.

Thanks JJ, I'll give GDP a call. I was just hoping someone on here had already run into this situation and could relate how they handled it.

there is a 10 times better way to do it. we have made about twenty of these and are getting faster at building a bracket. place two filters in series and mount them just forward of the fuel tank and cut the feed line next to the filters and series them in. i will give you napa #'s get two 4770 bases and the 2 micron filter is 3674 i will give you three choices for the first filter. most are usimg 3406 it has a drain and is not expensive the 3604 has a drain is a better prefilter but expensive because it has a probe for water in fuel you can actually use it in place of the stock. the last is 3374 it does not have a drain inexpensive and best prefilter. pm me your email address and i will send you a pix. one more thing the first time the vacuum pump fails throw the jake away and install a bd
