Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Gear Swap

If i was to swap to 3. 54 gear from 4,10 will my front spider gear setup still work?

it worked when i swapped mine from 3. 54 to 4. 10's. so i think that it would work the other way. nick

The carrier is the same on the 3. 54,s and the 4. 10,s , be sure to get an installation kit with your gearset as the pinion depth shim/slinger on factory gearsets are a custom thickness. you'll have to do the math and build a shim stack out of the kit, also 3. 55 and 3. 54 gearsets are available for that axle, either will work just fine

The with the front Dana 60 you will be all set. Unfortunately with the rear Dana 80 the 3. 54's and 4. 10 require different carriers.
