Gene, way back when you dynoed and said it didn't make big power but pulled like he!! what was your timing set at and at what RPM did you make the most HP on the dyno... ... . if you remember.

Timing from that picture was prolly 21, low 500s, I was still towing. Later 25-6ish and 574hp,with a melted, malfunctioning wastegate on H3 HX 35 twin combo, about 2002?

Rpm for most power?Maybe 2500- but we would whack it to 4500 anyway, to watch the Overvalved elctronic, no rpm, Fall Brawlers scatter!!! I got those sheets somewhere, They may still be in Kaufmanns computer.

2005, with the S-4 single, I was at 35 degrees- it was making more power-

Cool, that sounds about right for the timing verses RPM's for max power and I know what you mean about those Holset gates..... what a piece. I have yet to have an issue with the S series type.

I remember the first time I saw Gene's truck in street trim (somewhere in Indy at a dyno event) It was the same day I saw his factory tach peg and 30+ psi (IN NEUTRAL)
