While we are being so retro there Jim...
How about an old underhood shot of your new truck... ... . Andy
Those of you that are looking at this picture are probably wondering just how it was setup!
The top turbo is the T-88, the one below is the T-66 and the T-106 is in the rear about the same place as a normal bottom turbo would be on a set of Twins... ... by looking at the down pipe.
The main issue that David pointed out and I see too is the manifold is nothing more than a tube with tubes to each exhaust port going to it... ... ... I've seen others like this and they are no better than an ATS manifold.
The Flange is up close to the front, it goes into a pipe to the 66, way to far away..... no velocity! The gates feed the 88 and 106 much like a divorced twin setup. The Turbos were matched by Turbonetics and should work fine together but the process was all screwed up... ... . you have to drive on the small turbo and use the others to help it on the big end! At 4000 RPM it would still not spool.
I have no idea how the motor and pump were setup for driving but it had alot of pump and injector so fuel wasn't an issue.
My thoughts are like David's, how nice would it be to have 100 psi of boost at a really cool temp, add how ever much N2O you wanted and daily drive it.
When I am retired and rich enough I'll try this setup too, till then run a 66 version with a 90's mm version Twins and call it good enough.
Jim
P. S. Did I steal this thread... ... ... sorry Gene!
