Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
I called a local tire shop that was recommended as being able to balance my 19. 5" tires (from Rickson).
When I told them the tires I had, they said they would not touch 'em, not even to balance them, not even to remove them and put new tires on the wheels. Why? Because two of them (the LMT400 specifically, which is what I have), exploded and seriously hurt one of their mechanics, and almost killed another.
She said that there's a recall or something going on with either General or Ford about these tires, since they're original equipment on the Ford F450/550 trucks. The tires I have are take-offs from the F550 that Rickson sold me because they were doing a 22. 5" wheel package for the F550.
I called Rickson and it turns out that nobody is in today that can tell me anything, so I have to wait until Monday.
Then I called General. The woman I got in their consumer relations department got very rude when I tried to explain what was going on and told me I had to go to Ford. I said the tires weren't on a Ford but came from one. She got snooty and said there was no warranty on those tires.
I went to the General and Ford websites and can't find any info about this (not surprised). I was wondering if anybody here knows anything? If not, I'll have to wait until Monday to see what Rickson has to say.
