GENOS

I have ordered from genos a number of times and they are a top notch company. I can understand they position, i dont know any company that would ship a product knowing that they have a 60 percent chance of it not getting to the customer or not getting paid for there product and on top of that not getting there unpaided product back. Man all the risk is on them, give them a break. I dont know any any company that trys any harder to please there customers. Thank You, Genos PS. NO i dont have any ties with them, i am just speaking up for a great company. Oo.

So I go to order up a couple of things from Geno's. Done it before and had no problem and been pleased with the service. Not this time.

I've used Geno's a few times and have always been more than satisfied. Of course I live in the States.

It never ceases to amaze me when someone "thinks" they have been wronged, they don't make the effort to call the company, but choose to just air it on the board.

I can fully understand Geno's frustration about sending items to Canada. When I used to sell items, on eBay, I quickly found out that selling to Canadians was just not worth the effort or cost. Special forms to send by UPS or USPS; lost shipments; refusal of delivery when Canadian customs charged outrageous fees. Stopped selling to Canada and it got a lot easier.

I think Geno's is being more than fair to you... If I was them, I'd walk away from all the problems... . Just my $. 02...

;)

Want to thank Robin for sending me the email he referred to. I have been out of town working and haven't had a chance to respond or call him. Hopefull I can do that in the next few days. Will let you know how it goes.

Can let you know that at my last job we imported large amounts of merchandise from the States. Between the courier services and the customs brokers, we were paying far too much for mediocre service, even for fees that were not applicable. Changed that quickly with a new broker, cutting our costs by more than 75%. Guess what, we also started to get all of what was in the bill of lading too.

In doing personal shopping, I ask companies to use the regular postal services. They deliver within 7 - 10 days and the only fees are Canada's wonderful G. S. T. Only G. S. T. is added if the item is manufactured in North America. If you get a package with extra fees etc then you know you've used a courier like UPS. They will charge unnecessary brokerage and handling fees and get the item to you in 7-10 days.

I think the problems arise because those providing the service to us as consumers and retailers don't know exactly what they're doing and how it works. They don't seem to really care so they don't put the needed effort or expertise into it. Then we get retailers not wanting to go through the "expensive hassle".

Lastly, its not surprising that there are Canadian corporations who have made the same decision as Geno's. In many cases, they haven't even attempted to overcome the hurdles Geno's attempted. Maybe Robin can be convinced those hurdles can be avoided and Geno's business will come back across the border. I would really like to give Geno's my patronage.

You should try living in Alaska. The only UPS available is 3 Day. Usually the shipping costs as much as the item. I just orderd 8 shocks from a place in CA. The shipping is $120 on them... it works out to $15 for each shock and that is through the USPS. Thank god my Dad hauled my exhaust system up from Vegas for me... .

I can only say, Geno's Garage is first class mail order business. I always look first, if Geno's carry the stuff I em looking for, before I shop elsewhere. I just wish every business will be like them. I:) I talked with them this morning, and again was the pleasure.

M¸ ss
