Hi Guys. This is my first post. Had truck since June 2000 and think it's awesome. My question is, has any one had any experience with Geno's garage auto transmission temp sensor that attaches to the dipstick? Sounds a little shakey to me. Thanks for the help!

Welcome Rich!
For questions regarding products you need to place that in the Products/Accessories Forum. I will move it over there for you, so you can check the responses to your question there.
Have a great time, this forum is very valuable to all of us!

Even if it does work you will be reading temps from the AT pan, which aren't accurate. You are better off teeing into the cooler output line and useing a real sender.

Rich, I have the exact item installed in my 'beast' and am very happy with it. It has a "quick disconnect" plug when you want to check the fluid level which is not that often, and I just followed the suggested directions to use a few plastic lock ties to hold the sensor and feed wires to the dipstick. Their comment is: "if the plastic lock ties melt in the transmission fluild they just fall to the bottom of the transmission, but if they do ever melt off, then your transmission is already been fried as they don't melt till 350+ degrees! #ad

I have to agree with Rob, I've had the sensor on the dipstick for 8 months and 20k miles. Works flawlessly.

And, even tho I might not be getting the 'exact' temp. , it's certainly better than nothing at all when towing or carrying a load.

My temps run from 150 to about 195 depending on the outside air temp.

Mine lasted about 11 months on the dipstick, then started to get erratic readings. Replaced the transmission fluid return line with the old style line with the port for a temp sender built in. Works alot better now.
