I'm on the east side, no real good way to spot me unless you see a Grey 2500 on I-20 during the week.

best way to tell it's me is Ive got a goofy sticker on my back window :-laf

One of my buddies used to live just outside of warner robbins on the south side. I cant remember the road. but I know it was on the south side of the base. He's been activated now for deployment to Iraq with the 48th Brigade.

He probably was somewhere between Houston Lake Rd and 247. The 48th is on their way.

I've been reassigned to a new unit that is scheduled for a similar deployment later this year. I think I'll retire. I just got off active duty and now I'm looking at having to do another year overseas. They love these boys from Georgia.

you got that right. My current unit got back from Kuwait about 9 months ago. an Engineer batallion was over there at the same time and so was two of our aviation units. we have one aviation unit in the Soviet republic of Georgia right now, they are scheduled to come back soon. then two of the MP companies were activated for the past 2. 5 years. they were just demobed from Cuba, Benning, and Afganistan.

I was in Bosnia back in '01

I'm about an hour north of there.

just be carefull when going on the down-town (I75-85) connector when you hit the grady curve. people doing 90 slam on their brakes and do 30 around it. I just stay on it at 65 and plow them out of the way :)

Guess I should check this area more often...

As BigUgly and the others have said, we have a group and website. We also have gatherings down at Jeff Garmon's shop and that is where I keep my dyno. Come take part anytime...

And, Feb 26th, a group of us will be going to opening day at Atlanta Dragway. Feel free.

And I live near Gainesville GA, work near Perimeter Mall area, and my black 2500 4x4 can be seen on 1-85 / I-285 area most days in slow motion. :-laf I don't have any TDR decals, but I have my Diesel Performance Motorsports, Garmon's Diesel Performance, Pro-Loc decals for all to see. Oo.

I head up that way some, up to Duluth and also up 400 when I head to Geno's.

when your heading east on I-20 just past the 75-85 connector and see the sign "State Gov't Complex" thats where I work, on Confederate Ave. I get so much crap from other states thinking that we are true rednecks :) but I live on the east side near Lithonia. I'd like to go, but I already have something going on that weekend.

Drew I have a funny story about Confederate Ave. That is where the State Police station used to be and the place you had to go to to get your license back. Well many moons ago I had lost my license and went up there to get it back.

Everyone who is standing in that line doesnt have a license or else they wouldnt be there trying to pay the fine and get it back. I am standing in there one day and there are like 50 people in line. well someone has parked wrong outside and this big burly Ga State Police walks in and says Loudly

"WHO IS DRIVING THE BLUE CAMARO?" Well the whole place is silent, i mean noone in that line has a license ya know then the people in the line start to chuckle and the State Trooper starts to chuckle and he says , "look you are parked wrong just moove the car we wont mess with you and this one guy sheepishly leaves the line to go moove his camaro and it was the funniest thing you ever saw.

That is my story about Confederate Ave

Alan where is your 2001? Whats it like to be able to go through a drive through and not have to turn off the truck?

John, Childre stole it from me. I was on the way to Orlando yesterday. That's the first time I went through a drive through without having to shut down. Nice. :-laf

I miss my 01. That was a solid truck. A woman bought it to pull horses.

There's one off I-75 at Highway 96. It's the exit past the Warner Robins/Centerville exit. It has a good reputation and has been there a long time (over 20 years). A woman I know keeps a travel trailer there for weekend visits here and she loves it.

I have five acres if that doesn't work for you.

The one off 96 is

Ponderosa Campgrounds

Exit 142 off I-75 (Highway 96 and I-75/Houser's Mill Road)

478-825-8030

Has showers, laundry facilities, pull through sites, full hook ups.

It's about 15 minutes into Warner Robins.

Like I said, I have 5 acres if you need anything.
