Does any body know if the getrag has a seal on the output shaft to keep it from feeding oil into the NP205, the service manual doesen't show or mention one. Or is is the one on the NP205 input housing the only one. Looks like my getrag is feeding oil into my t-case (tcase oil level is over filled) and Getrag is low. Any help would be great. Thanks

Yes. There is a seal at the output shaft, And another at the T-case input. There is a dry splined coupler joining the two shafts. The void area should be dry. I have mine all apart right now. If you would like pics let me know.

Factory design is for the "void area" to be dry, but you do not want the splines an coupling dry. Grease the heck out of them. Lack of grease ruined the spline on my 205 ( costly). Caught the one on my other truck in time.

Both had red rusty powder on splines. They tend to throw out the grease.

At work we use Molykote on the pump shafts. Seems to work ok, I don't have any long term answers yet. The manufacturer recommended it after they started having failures.
