Just could'nt wait plus I am getting a good deal on the trade in on my desert fox. I am getting the Keystone Raptor toyhauler. 36' with 2 slides. GVW is 15,500 but I won't come close to that. That is just because of the 3 axle. Weighs 11,100 empty and has a gen already.

This is what I have right now

This picture is not the exact one but the same model I am getting. These pics are from online

This is what I am getting

Heres the rear shot. the helper springs are down by the hinges which has lube Zerks and the springs are piano coils 5 separate ones

#ad

This is from the kitchen looking forward to the bedroom. notice the glass door wardrobe on the front. the bed slides out to the left.

#ad

The corner shower just across from a toilet closet and sink right there by the bed and chest of drawers at the end of the bed

#ad

From the hall of the trailer looking back to the door separating the garage from the living area. Notice the loft above the door for another bed. there is another bed in the couch (hide-a-bed).

#ad

This is the garage, 8'2" wide by 12' long and the floor is 1" thick plywood and covered with rubber diamondplate. the unit comes with 3, 10' click-traks like found in moving vans and you can mount them where you want and also comes with adapters to click into them and hook to the straps.

Notice the TV on the left, it swivels and shows to the inside living area or outside.

#ad

Shot of the rear when open.

#ad

Shot of the underside storage... . lots of room

#ad

Only $39,500 from a september Show..... getting $16,000 for my desert fox so my payment will be $408/mo. Not bad... . Now is the time to get trailers when it slows down and they will deal with you ... .

Nice Looking Rig

Eric

That is a nice looking 5th wheel toyhauler, also the one your trading in is nice I would'nt mine having it myself. The Raptor is a little rich for my blood though, but nice. We have been thinking about a toyhauler, but have'nt decided weather 5th or tag-a-long. Got to sell the 28ft bumper pull first. :D

Good luck with your new purchase Oo.

Love the Raptor! I was real close when we bought our 29' Fury, but too many changes were necessary to the truck... Congrats and keep the feedback flowing.

Another thing we liked about the Thor lineup (others as well as the Fury) was the option of dual drop-down queen bunks in the rear. Gives a total of three queen beds, great for bunkhouse, WAY more comfy than the couch or dinette convertibles.

It appear's you'll be way over your GVWR on your truck! I'm over mine too (600lbs), but not near as much as you will be. What's the pin weight on your new 5er?

Very nice trailer. I'm thinking of getting a similar rig when I retire. So, is that a bunk above the bulkhead in the cargo area?

I figured someone would mention the GVWR issue. I don't intend to preach to you, but you do know you'll be at least 1500 - 2000 lbs over your trucks GVWR rating, right?

Cheers,

Dave

Oh No honey! The new trailer is a bit too heavy for this truck, I hate to get rid of it, but it isn't safe, we need a new truck! Says Eric with a look of concern.

ooch, ouch, ow! , Dang the hits... hehe... .

yes that is a bunk over the garage and because of the cabinet you see, The bed is as wide as a queen but barley 6' long.

This trailer looks heavy but not really. It has a GVW of 15,500 but unloaded at 11,100. At 18% pin weight, that is 2000#. At 14,000 which is what I think I will be at when loaded up and full will be 2520#.

I added a helper to my suspension. I bought the coils that go on top of the springs

#ad

The info say these add about 1 ton weight carry... On the TT at the top, I was level before the coils. After I installed them, the rear lifted up 2" even when there was over 1400# on the tail. I was at 20,000 with that TT and this might be 1000 or 2000 over that total GCVW.

I have 2 boxes but use only 1 for cruise (edge EZ) 4" exhaust, Jacobs brake, mag-hytec diff cover, etc. I have used the jacobs with my TT at 20k and with the 6 speed, works well. not using the foot brakes too much.

Oh and another thing, I am not married, so if I wanted another truck I could but not yet. I wanted this trailer first. I won't be loading it up with alot of stuff or cloths like full-timers do and such but when I do later, I will get a better truck... . Maybe a freightliner buis. class with a detroit or mercedes engine. (freightliner don't offer cummins)

I have the stock 265 michelins. not too much added for weight of junk. gonna take the shell I have off and bed-rug. On the trailer, going to add 3 solar panels and 2, 6 volt batteries. other than that, not too much is going to go into the new trailer except the normal stuff...

Thanks for the positive replies, I really like this trailer and the neat thing is, the toys can be in the rig, the slides can be all the way in and you can still use the trailer. there is enough room to use the dinette and the bed and everything. Great for in-route traveling.

Just got my 5th wheel hitch installed today by Pull-rite. Easy to install, has holes in the frame already but had to cut a bit of shee-metal to make it fit.

This is where I had to cut a bit of metal. there is a open box that serves no purpose and it has to be removed to fit the bracket.

#ad

Heres a shot of the pins on the super rails. there is a hol in the bed for the pins to click into the bracket but nothing is bolted to the bed. When you take the hitch out, all it leaves is a hole in the bed for a clean look.

#ad

This is what I am using in place of a slider hitch. It makes about 10" extension for the pinbox so that should be enough for maneuvering... . Saved me about $1000 not getting the automatic slider hitch.

Price depends on where you look. There was a show here in september and I got that price of $39,500. they normally sell it for 43K. Some places sell it for 45, 47 or upwards of 53K.

The generator is a Onan 5,500 marquis.

cool, I looked at a Victory Lane (appears identical) with no gen, but did have the prep. and gas station. it didn't have the tv on the swivel and the hole. and no bunk over the garage. sticker was 36k. I was interested, but the dealer never sent info or a price or anything... guess he wasn't hungry
